In an article about Facebook addictions they went on to say how medical students are posting inappropriate pictures and posts to Facebook. Patients are saying that they don't want to see their doctors, nurses, and future doctors acting inappropriate. Some Universities are recommending their students not to act that way and post things that are not appropriate for people to see.
I think if you are attending college for a professional study you should act professional as if you were in your career field. People don't want to see professional people acting crazy and non professional. Job employers are now looking up future employees on Facebook and social media. If they see you acting non professional they will most likely not hire you.
I have worked in the medical field before going back to college and we were told if we acted non professional and posted crazy things on Facebook they would find out and actions would be taken. They told us stories of past employees being fired and losing their medical licenses because of non professional behavior in the work place and out side of work. A CNA lost their job because they toke inappropriate pictures of residents and posted them on Facebook and other employees saw and turned them in when they recognized the pictures were of a resident in their work place. That CNA is no longer allowed to work in the medical field.
Nicely stated Ashley. I appreciate your comments!
